Experimental and numerical study on eccentric compression properties of laminated bamboo columns with a chamfered section

چکیده

The eccentric compression behavior of laminated bamboo lumber (LBL) columns with a chamfered section was investigated using eccentricity 30 mm, 60 90 mm and 120 mm. effect ratio on the ultimate bearing capacity, strain failure mode analyzed through tests. modes LBL different eccentricities were basically same, which belonged to brittle tension failure. With increase in ratio, capacity gradually decreased. cross-section specimen linearly distributed along height direction, conformed plane assumption. lateral deflection curves had similar characteristics under load levels could be expressed by sine half-wave curves. Based Hill criterion, 3D finite element model developed calculate dimensions compression. According simulation results test results, general empirical formula proposed considering both influence slenderness ratio. reliability verified comparing calculated existing literature.
